I keep hearing it over and over from all corners that rock is dead. But from what I've seen and heard in the weeks I've been involved in Sun Valley Jams, I am thrilled to say that rock is still alive and well and should be around for quite awhile longer.
Have a look at these three bands who performed at Battle of the Bands #3 on Sunday. All three are talented, hard-working and inspired. All three are young, and all three have a center that takes songwriting and performing very seriously.
Keep it going, guys. This is the kind of stuff that gets us old-school rockers excited.
Bucko Toby opened the show with its adaptation of late-'60s psychedelia:
Beau Diamond and the Collective Dream Band took the stage late-afternoon and served up a little punk with its frontman's folk songs:
And the Langaleers closed out the day with a set that mixed some originals with a couple of old chestnuts such as this:
