Battle #4 might have been the best one yet. We had beautiful skies, some great music both original and familiar once again -- and most of all, we had our best crowd so far.
And once again, we got some great feedback from everyone. The paying customers had a great day, with several making a point of telling us how much fun they had. And the musicians keep telling us they love this venue and can't wait to come back.
Lyn, Mark and I want to thank everyone who has helped us out in this first round of our first season. Everyone -- sponsors, fans, musicians and crew -- have helped us make a go of this. We've been welcomed into the music community with open arms, and we couldn't be more grateful.
We can't wait for the Finale on Sept. 6. We hope to see everyone there. It's going to be a great show.
But before we start working on that, let me spend the next few days showing off the exceptional talent we drew to Battle #4.
Thanks to Revence for opening the show on such a high note:
Thanks to King James and the Killer Bee, representing the area's younger rock contingent:
And thanks to The Faded Truth, with assistance from singer John French's son on the inflatable guitar:
Thanks, guys. I'll be back in a day or two with our thanks for a few more bands.
