Countdown to the Finale: Slick Ice Blues

Slick Ice Blues started performing a few original tunes shortly before the band's second Sun Valley Jams appearance, in early July.

Now, armed with the $2000 cash prize from its win in Battle of the Bands #3, Slick Ice Blues is doing a little studio shopping.

The band expects to start recording the new tunes in fourth-quarter 2015, guitarist-singer Will "Slick" Garner said last week. Slick Ice Blues will continue tweaking the new tunes Saturday at 4204 Main Street Brewing Co. in Belleville, IL, Sept. 6 in the Battle of the Bands Finale, and Sept. 12 at Time Out Sports Bar & Grill in Troy, IL.
