Singer Tommy Perry and drummer Brian Glatz hooked up about a year ago and formed The Find, a Washington, MO, band that describes its repertoire as "alternative/rock/acoustic/blues/funk with a splash of reggae."
The duo added guitarist Danny LaRue in September and bass player John Johnston a few weeks ago.
"I can't define what we sound like and truly believe that's a good thing," Glatz told me last week in an email. "I
think we're a melting pot of each of our own influences along with individually
striving to be creative and working to put that together to create music we all
like."
Perry has a page at ReverbNation, where he's posted several tracks crediting Glatz as his drummer. Here's one of them:
Looking forward to seeing all of these bands!
ReplyDeleteThe first band out of the box was Les Gruff and the Billy Goat. They nailed their performance with a genius mix of Blues, Country and Rock. And to Microbliss of Londell, Mo., the 7th performance of the day, lead guitarist, Josh Finney, a young and amazing musician and their drummer who was so full of energy, thanks for entertaining us all. Both bands ended in a virtual tie and shared the $2,000.00 prize money. And to the Chad Randall Band and Hollywood 5, you outdid yourselves, both finishing only one point out of first place. To all 8 bands, your musical talents kept us all going. Thanks again....Mark
